In our second installment of Composting 101 with The Gardens on Spring Creek, we’ll be going beyond the basics of composting, why it’s important to our community and how to do so successfully. Expect to learn about feedstock management, the science of decomposition and best practices on pathogen remediation.
This class is much more in depth than our normal free events and spans two hours. Be prepared to visit The Gardens Compost Demonstration Site, weather allowing, to see small and large composting applications in person.
Materials collected from years of experience composting and the US Composting Council will be taught by our Certified Compost Operations Manager, Jamie Blanchard-Poling.
