December 20, 2021 – Fort Collins, CO: Compost Queen has been achieved national certification by the US Composting Council as a Certified Compost Operations Manager.
This certification was created by the USCC’s Certification Commission to develop a national program that is vendor neutral, ensuring best practices, knowledge and skillsets to compost safely and effectively.
This rare achievement (#104 in the country) proves Compost Queen’s dedication to making quality compost materials right here in Northern Colorado.
Requirements include 2 years of organics recycling experience and over 24 hours of intensive training. An extensive certifying test must be passed and continuing education credits must be pursued annually to maintain certification.
“I’m so proud of how far we’ve come, and I can’t thank CSU’s ARDEC enough for hosting the educational training event in November,” states Jamie Blanchard-Poling, CCOM and owner of Compost Queen. “Educational resources from the US Composting Council and hands on training with other operators is key to sharing the knowledge that advances our industry and increases organics recycling.”
